Meet Your Chef
In 2021, Bangkok native, Chef Moon Krapugthong, joined Kad Sala Community Center with the hope of bringing culinary arts and a commercial residence to this special community. Moon’s ultimate goal was—and still is—to help make Kad Sala a peaceful, self-sustainable community where locals share a mindful way of Lanna living. And, to position Kad Sala as a world-class destination where guests can experience a true taste of the local experience.
At Kad Sala, Chef Moon uses her twenty years of U.S. hospitality industry experience—she currently owns Chabaa Thai and Yanako restaurants in Philadelphia—to bring this vision to life, while preserving—and celebrating—the customs and practices of the locals.
